Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking a full-time HVAC Refrigeration Specialist. This position maintains and repairs of a wide range of equipment necessary for the heating, air conditioning and ventilating of the campus buildings and also the repair of other mechanical building systems, including all cooling towers, chilled water loops and chemical treatment programs. Starting pay is $24.00 per hour and includes a full benefit package.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide range of equipment necessary for the heating, air conditioning and ventilating of the campus buildings and also the repair of other mechanical building systems, including low voltage control wiring and comprehensive ability to wire and read wiring schematics.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

--3 years' experience in the HVAC field
-Able to do duct work fabrication
-Understanding of and ability to perform low voltage circuitry
-Flexibility in schedule to be on-call
-Able to cover emergency repairs alone in on-call situations
-Able to do source location and isolation

 

Preferred Qualifications:

-Prior hydronic experience
