Position Summary:

The General Ledger/Travel Office and Purchasing Office are seeking applicants for one full-time position of Financial Specialist Senior.  This position will report to the General Ledger/Travel Manager and the Purchasing Director and perform duties for both offices on campus.

Responsibilities:

Job Duties:

Purchasing Office:

  • Review/Audit Campus Purchasing (Credit) Card Statements
  • Process Purchase Orders and Project Orders
  • Track Capital Equipment
  • General office duties, receptionist, filing etc.
  • Training New Staff/Students

General Ledger/Travel Office:

  • General Ledger Transfers
  • Daily Revenue and Cash Distribution
  • Year End Reporting
  • Coordinate Selected Accounting Functions for Auxiliary Services
  • Investments
  • Assist Customers

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

-Associate Degree in Accounting or business related field

-Strong organizational, analytical, and attention to details skill sets

-Strong oral and written communication skills

-Ability to work on a variety of programs packages

-Prior customer service experience

-Experience working in an office setting

Preferred Qualifications:

-Bachelor's in Accounting or business related field

-Higher education and/or State Purchasing experience

Department Information: The Purchasing department reviews and audits campus credit card statements; processes purchase and project orders and tracks capital equipment. The General Ledger/Travel Office reviews and audits all general ledger transfers, as well as answer travel policy related questions.
