Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking applicants for the position of Senior Financial Specialist for the Cashier's Office. This position is under the general supervision of the Director of Student Financial Services and is responsible for cashiering and student accounts processing functions.

Responsibilities:

-Reconcile each department deposit slip with the checks, cash, and coin submitted.

-Resolve any discrepancies with department manager.

-Record each deposit in QuickBooks.

-Reconcile the day’s deposits with the online banker register to ensure accuracy.

-Perform functions pertaining to billing, collecting and refunding student accounts.

-Process payments, refunds and generate statement of account to students.

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

-Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field

-Strong organizational, analytical, and attention to details skill sets

-Strong oral and written communication skills

-Ability to work on a variety of programs packages

 

Preferred Qualifications:

-Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Finance or Accounting or related fields

-Higher education and government/fund accounting experience are a plus.
