Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant for Services for Students with Disabilities. The minimum starting salary for this position is $14.25 per hour plus excellent fringe benefits. A six-month probationary period is required. The normal working hours for this position are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Administrative assistance to the Assistant Director of Services for Students with Disabilities
  • Assist in administration of the office
  • Assist with maintaining multiple database systems and running reports and queries
  • Monitor the budget and order supplies
  • Assistance with obtaining, producing, and distributing approved accommodations or auxiliary aids to students
  • Coordination of equipment returns and accurate inventory of all items
  • Compliance with FERPA
  • Respect for diversity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in all communication

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills and highly detail-oriented
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Positive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multitask efficiently
  • Familiarity with working with database systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment or experience working with diverse populations
  • Respect for confidentiality
