Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville, located in Southwest Wisconsin, is currently recruiting for a part-time Support Coordinator for the Teaching and Technology Center (TTC).  The starting salary for this position is $15.42 per hour.  The normal working hours for this position is 3 ½ days per week during the academic school year. Anticipated start date is August 12, 2019.

 

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

  • Monitor TTC email/phone and voicemail correspondence
  • Maintain records and inventory
  • Assist with events’ setup
  • Coordinate scheduling of the TTC
  • Help maintain and develop web-based content for the TTC website,
  • Develop promotional documents, certificates and awards;
  • Assist faculty/staff with technology related issues
  • Supervise student workers
  • Occasionally attend after-hour ILC meetings

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Solid experience with Mac and MS Windows hardware and operating system, and software.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to coordinate and complete multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with social media.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in academic environment.
  • Familiarity with course management systems – Canvas a plus.
  • Knowledge of video technologies in both Macintosh and Windows environments.
  • Familiarity with networking and printing.
