Position Summary:

UW-Platteville is seeking to fill a full-time Information Technology Support Services position. This position provides management of software acquisition, compliance, maintenance renewals, and life cycle planning and budgeting throughout campus.

Responsibilities:

Maintains information in a database format to address budgeting, software compliance and inventory, contracts, and cost.

Work with the Purchasing Department to develop and coordinate relationships and set up contracts with vendors and suppliers and participate in the development of bids and contracts.

Work with campus customers to facilitate software purchases and provide advisement for software solutions

Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services.

Copyright compliance

Assist with the creation and testing software images, assessment of needs re: patching

Maintain catalog of supported software

Bill departments/charge backs as needed. Create/assist with purchase requisitions

Fulfill other assigned specialist and liaison roles

Additional duties as assigned

Be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations, including necessary training and drills

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Associates degree in Computer Science, Business or related field.

Experience in Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), procurement, working with vendors, software inventory and computer imaging.
