Position Summary:

The Continuing Education Institute’s Youth Program Manager for camps and clinics provides administrative oversight and support for year-round offerings for minors through the University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s three campuses. The program manager is responsible for providing administrative oversight, including the development and review of procedures, process, policy, training, and a system of data collection. The program manager works closely with the university’s risk and compliance officers to address legal obligations and ensure the safety of campers and staff.  This is a 24-month project position with option to renew. This position will coordinate, collaborate, and communicate with staff and third-parties, developing audience-specific information and guidance. Salary for this position is $48,333-$50,000.

Responsibilities:

Develop consistent administrative processes for creating and implementing camps and clinics activities including: monitoring dates, number of events, size of camps/clinics, University sponsorship, location of camps/clinics, use of University services (residential staff, Dining Services, Facilities).

Receive and review all requests to conduct a camp or clinic on campus, including but not limited to  establishing clear process for documenting all participants who attend  a camp or clinic on campus, develop and implement criteria for participation, develop and review websites for each camp or clinic, aligning payment systems, policies, and protocols associated with participants, and provide customer support for participants and their families.

Develop and maintain as database for the collection and retention of information, communicate with camp directors regarding all aspects of camps and clinics, provide accurate and detailed information to campers, families, directors, risk management, and other constituents.

Develop training programs and guidance documents for camp directors, leaders and supervisors to ensure compliance and safety.

Develop a measurement tool for evaluating compliance with laws, regulations and policies.  Prepare an annual review and report on camp and clinic activities and events.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

-2-3 years of related experience managing an organization and/or administering/coordinating activities.

-Computer proficiency and experience working with spreadsheets, databases, and mail merges using Microsoft Office and Outlook.

-Previous project management experience, and ability to apply skills.

-Due to the nature of this position, some evenings, nights and weekends will be required. 

-Valid drivers license as some travel is required
