Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville, Markee Pioneer Student Center is seeking applicants for an Involvement Coordinator for Campus Activities to manage all daily aspects of Campus Programming and Relations (CPR). This is a full-time, 12-month basis position, offering a competitive salary and excellent employee benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Select, train, supervise and advise student staff (Campus Programming and Relations (CPR) and Design Services) and professional staff as assigned.
  • Manage and supervise all programmatic, contractual, financial, risk management and production aspects of campus programming and activities.
  • Provide guidance, advisement and training to student employees and student organizations as assigned.
  • Support a collaborative and comprehensive student development program including student activities, student organizations, student leadership, Fraternity and Sorority Life, and student governance.
  • Assist with implementing the comprehensive departmental assessment plan, and compile assessment results for CPR programming.
  • Lead the coordination of major departmental and university-wide events such as Welcome Weekend, Family Weekend, Homecoming and Late Night at the Markee.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community business sponsors.
  • Ensure that the university commitment to diversity and inclusion are continually reflected in all aspects of our work.
  • Use student development theory while working with students to assist in the development of the whole student as they plan for success.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years professional experience in a Student Affairs-related field (advising student organizations, developing and implementing campus programs and activities, etc.) in a Higher Education setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree from an accredited institution
