The University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for an Academic Advisor. This appointment serves students as part of Academic Support Programs. The successful candidate will provide academic advising and academic coaching, along with proactive transition assistance for freshmen and transfer students, and will be skilled at developing rapport and building productive relationships with students and campus colleagues while serving as a liaison to the resources available.
Laboratory Manager Platteville
The Laboratory Manager will provide technical assistance to faculty, staff and students in the maintenance, implementation, upgrade, and use of scientific instruments and equipment used for teaching and research in the College of Engineering, Mathematics, and Science.
Academic Advisor Platteville
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is hiring a full-time, 12-month academic staff member to work as an Advisor with the Office of Professional Program Support (OPPS). The advisor serves as primary point of contact for distance students, providing academic guidance, career counseling, and general outreach activities including various retention efforts. The advisor also serves as a liaison between the student and various offices on campus, such as financial aid and veterans’ benefits. The position is physically located on the UW-Platteville campus in Platteville, Wisconsin. The position is an annual appointment. The office hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The annual salary is $38,000-41,000, commensurate with experience.
