Position Summary:

The Department of Residence Life at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking applicants for a Residence Life Coordinator for Assignments & Contracts. This is a full-time, benefit eligible, annual basis appointment, with the period of employment beginning approximately June 1, 2020.

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Student Life & Development and working closely with the Assistant Director of Residence Life – Business Operations, this position coordinates the administration of room assignment, financial accounting of billing and provides administrative support services to Residence Life and program.

The Residence Life Coordinator for Assignments & Contracts will be responsible for working within the housing information system (StarRez) to prepare for summer, fall & spring housing contracts. Developing continual communication to our hall staff regarding occupancy and preparing information for prospective/current students and their parents and family. This position is also responsible for developing regular reporting of occupancy within the residence halls as well as oversight of housing financial transactions.

Administration of Residence Hall Assignment Program – 50%

Maintenance of Financial Accounting System of All Residence Hall Students – 30%

Provide Administrative Support Services to Residence Life and Program – 20%

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • A demonstrated commitment to working with racially and socioeconomically diverse students is an essential qualification for candidates.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working in a residence life setting.
  • Experience in working with billing.
  • Skills preferred include:  Communication, organizational, leadership, human relation, and experience working with StarRez (or comparable) software.
