Enrollment Communications Specialist

Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville, Office of Enrollment Management is seeking applicants for an Enrollment Communications Specialist to develop and maintain communications in support of the university’s admission and enrollment goals. The Communications Specialist will make data-informed decisions to plan, manage, and enact a multi-channel communication strategy. This is a full-time, 12-month position.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain multi-channel enrollment communication plans that resonate with prospective undergraduate students, their parents, and other targeted audiences.
  • Lead and implement communication projects using the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system Radius, and texting platform, Mongoose.
    • Manage automated communication plans for special populations including maintenance and daily procedures.
    • Be backup power user for CRM
    • Run basic reports, queries, and extract data from CRM for tracking and targeted communications.
    • Create documentation and communication flow mappings of all campaigns
  • Work collaboratively with key teams including Admission, Recruitment, Financial Aid, Academic Support Programs, and the Marketing departments to create collateral that supports the university’s enrollment goals
  • Use data to enhance message effectiveness and user satisfaction to create and meet strategic goals and key performance indicators.
  • Monitor and benchmark other universities’ communication and marketing strategies for messaging ideas, best practices, design concepts, and creative approaches to communication with target audiences.
  • Other Duties as assigned

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-years of experience in recruitment, admission, communications, and/or project management
  • Experience organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to compile and analyze data, assess, and make subsequent recommendations and decisions
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body
  • Ability to present information to large and small groups
    Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability in successful planning and implementing multi-channel communication campaigns
