The Department of Residence Life offers 10 co-educational residential living facilities at UW-Platteville where students live, learn, and grow. Our mission is to provide safe, clean, comfortable, and inclusive living environments as well as opportunities for individuals to be active participants in creating respectful and responsible learning communities.

We are currently looking to establish a pool of candidates to fill Resident Director positions, which are full-time, live-in professional staff positions responsible for the supervision of 1-2 residence halls. They work collaboratively in smaller team groups to direct and coordinate various departmental projects.  The RD position supervises 8- 20 resident assistants, 1-2 Senior Assistants, provides assistance to residents, advises hall government, oversees the facilitation of community development, serves as a conduct hearing officer, assists with University and departmental recruitment efforts, and performs administrative and managerial tasks associated with the hall.  In addition, this position will involve some evening and weekend work.
