Position Summary:

UW Platteville is seeking a full-time Master Electrician to add to the Facilities Management team. We are seeking an applicant familiar with sustainable renewable electrical practices who can safely support campus-wide requests of installing, diagnosing, repairing, trouble-shooting, and maintenance of all electrical needs. $39.11 per hour and has limited benefit opportunities. 

Responsibilities:

Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code

Demonstrate safety at all times and encourage others to do the same.

Communicate and shares knowledge with other electricians, and train other technicians as needed

Maintenance and installation of electrical systems including lighting, primary distribution, and motors.

Repair or replace wiring, equipment or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.

Identify electrical problems with a variety of troubleshooting.

Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems.

Maintain fire alarms

Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

-Master electrician license valid in the state of Wisconsin

-Previous field experience

-Valid driver’s license

-Be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations; including necessary training and drills.

-Previous computer experience
