Marketing Analyst

Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a Marketing Analyst to provide analysis of paid marketing campaigns (social media, display, SEM, geofencing, retargeting, etc), organic SEO activity, and website behavior; track advertising costs; research consumer behavior; and explore market trends and opportunities. This is a full-time, academic staff position, offering a competitive salary and excellent employee benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure performance and ROI of online and offline advertising campaigns
  • Analyze and report on marketing KPIs such as leads, conversion rates, website traffic and behaviors, and social media engagement, allowing for management to make data-driven decisions to drive optimization and results
  • Monitor budget distribution and performance of paid ad campaigns
  • Conduct competitive research and analyze benchmarking data
  • Recommend website and campaign optimizations
  • Implement new marketing tools to support promotional projects

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a marketing analyst or similar role, including experience with a variety of advertising campaigns.
  • Must be comfortable with processing, analyzing, and presenting marketing data.
  • Experience in working with Google Analytics
  • In-depth understanding of SEM campaign strategies and SEO practices
  • Experience creating and maintaining reporting, dashboards, and analyses across a variety of paid media channels
  • Demonstrated experience with advertising tracking such as custom URLs, landing pages, etc.
  • Experience with PPC campaigns
  • Analytical skills with a high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience in Higher Education (not required)
