
Position Summary:
The Music Area of the Department of Performing and Visual Arts at UW-Platteville seeks a Saxophone Studio Specialist who has versatile musical skills. This is a full-time, benefit eligible, 9-month instructional academic staff position with anticipated August 2023 start date. The incumbent will work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and work in partnership with colleagues for musical ensembles and performances.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will need to show the ability to lead the Saxophone Studio. They will also need to possess the ability to teach music majors and minors either in the Music Theory or Music History area, and teach Woodwind Techniques (flute, clarinet, saxophone).

- A master’s degree in Instrumental Music
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to participate in department recruitments
- Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with colleagues to complete tasks and goals
